LACEY ACT COMPLIANCE
Johnson Premium Hardwood Flooring has always been an ecologically responsible and caring manufacturer of hardwood floors. Our ongoing commitment to sustainable forestry practices dates back to our start up over 10 years ago, and we’ve always worked towards improvement. The Lacey Act has been around since 1900, and the recent inclusion of a broader range of plants/trees is really long overdue. The United States, in our role as the world leader, is right in taking a position to acknowledge and respect logging/harvesting guidelines in foreign nations. We’re pleased with the Lacey Act regulations, not only because it will reduce the number of companies shipping flooring into the US, but also because it truly is beneficial to the worlds precious timber supply.
